Detail :

Merapi Mt (2,930 MASL or 9,610 ft) is one one the most active volcano in Indonesia. Last eruption was happened in 2006 and 2010. From the peak you can see smoky crater and mount Merbabu in other side. Best time to catch the top is sunrise time.

The trek is short but one of hardest mountain trek in Java. The first 200 meters and the last 200 meters to the crater is the hardest where the trek is really sandy and rocky. Be ready, be happy!

On this trekking, we will start from Selo Village, an authentic village which set on and between the slopes of two volcanoes, Mt. Merapi and Mt. Merbabu. We can reach the village within 2 hours from Jogja, so Travellover and you will leave Jogja about 10.00 pm. And we will start for midnight trekking at 00.00 am from Selo Village! We just need 4-5 hours for trekking. Lucky you if we have a fine weather, we can see the crater of Merapi from its peak. After that, Travellover and you will explore the sphere of Merapi’s peak from Ketep Pass if we have enough time and energy. And we will go back to Selo Village at 09.00 am or 10.00 am. It will be unforgettable your trekking journey!
